Mini iPhone Clone Comes to U.S. Neonode N2 in Q2

neoinhand.pngNeonode will launch their latest mobile phone Neonode N2 in the United States in the second quarter of 2008. The phone uses patented neno user interface and zForce optical touch screen technology, offering users an intuitive and easy way to navigate experience that can be activated by touch via infrared or voice.

Neonode N2 uses zForce optical touch screen. It doesn’t need any hard pressure or stylus but works quickly and accurately by reacting to sweeping and tapping signals on the screen. The intuitively organized user interface, neno, delivers quick and easy access to applications and content. According to their video it can operated with one hand easily.

The Neonode N2 has a 2 inch screen on the 3 inch phone which is smaller than a credit card. It also uses ActiveSync for calendars and contacts. Other features:

  • Bluetooh
  • MP3 Player (MP3, WMA, Wav),
  • 2 Megapix. camers (video playback)
  • GSM Quad band 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands, GPRS

The U.S. price has not been set yet, the European version sold for around $600.00.

Neonode N2 was launched in Europe (third quarter 2007) to critical acclaim. Neonode N2’s United States phone carrier and retail availability will be announced the second quarter 2008. Neonode will be showcasing Neonode N2 mobile phone, as well as their intuitive technologies at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 7-10 in Central Hall, Booth 9817.
