iPhone Patent Filed Includes GPS, MMS, Video Conf. & Voice Commands

justart97/iphone.jpgSeveral sources report that an iPhone patent that was filed September 5, 2007 published last week.

The patent is titled Touch Screen Device, Method, and Graphical User Interface for Determining
Commands by Applying Heuristics.

It includes all the features of the iPhone 1 plus lots of features not yet released such as:

  • Instant messaging
  • MMS picture and video messaging
  • Java software downloads
  • Inline Safari content, such as Flash and Quicktime movies
  • A blogging client
  • Voice-activated commands
  • Audio capture
  • An "optical sensor" on the top - for videoconferencing?
  • A GPS module for mapping and geo-tagging

As rumors abound even more, it's suggested that the features not found in the actual first iPhone may be the new iPhone when it's announced.
