Apple iPhone App Store Open with Loopt, Limbo, JAMD Etc.

iphoneadstore.pngThe Apple iPhone App Store is now open for business.  Aftter iTunes has upgraded to iTunes 7.7, the App Store can be accessed.

Upon the AppStore launch, Pinch Media counted 552 applications - 417 of them
paid, 135 of them free. Paid applications ranged in price from $0.99 to
$69.99, with the most common price points being $0.99 (85
applications), $9.99 (82 applications), and $4.99 (62 applications).

Besides an upgrade to the iPhone 2.0 OS you can get these apps:

Loopt - geo social networking application that works on many carriers and devices including BlackBerries.

Limbo - social networking, with
who, what, where, shouting, checking in on friends on what their up to
with search features for contacts and activities. It's a Big Brother
view of your social network, of friends you know with an ability to
text to ask "What's up?".  If you're at Starbucks, your Faves will know
that you are there.

JAMD - the consumer website of Getty Images' JAMD Mobile "a celebrity image experience," with strems "Most Popular" and "Breaking News" images, playing/distortion of images, and emailing to friends.

iCall - makes free calls over Wi-GFi

GPark - uses GPS to remember where your car is parked.

UrbanSpoon - shake n' locate a restaurant nearby.
