Vringo video ringtone sharing developer has partnered with Nokia to make Vringo’s video ringtone application and media content available to Nokia device owners through the Nokia Download! Web store.
Through Nokia Download!, users can get the Vringo application, then choose from Vringo’s full range of media content—including video clips, animation, avatars, slides shows, music, greetings and more—to create personalized visual or video ringtones.
The application can be used on the handset or on the Vringo website to generate new video ringtones or select the clips they want their buddies to see when they call.
Currently, the Nokia Download! Web store is available in 17 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
To start using Vringo, users should visit the Nokia Download! Web store at http://download.nokia.com where they can indicate their country, service provider and Nokia model. From there, they can select Vringo from a list of downloadable applications. They will then have access to rich-media content from Vringo. The download is free to preview.
Vringo is available on Nokia Series 40 and Symbian Series 60 devices, J2ME (Java Micro Edition) and Windows Mobile platforms across devices from a number of device makers in addition to Nokia, including Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and BlackBerry-maker, RIM. The company continues to increase the number of compatible devices; a complete list is available online.
