HTCtouchdiamondcropped.jpgBonnie Cha at CNET rated the HTC Touch Diamond 3 1/2 out of 5.  The good news about the Sprint version of the HTC Touch Diamond is that it is not as slow as the unlocked version.  Although it still bogs down, there's boost from Sprint's EV-DO Rev A netwrok.  The TouchFlo 3D interface is cool but doesn't beat the easy use of the iPhone.   The Touch Diamond has more functions than the Samsung Instinct but power users should wait for the HTC Touch Pro. The 262,000 color  640x480 pixel screen is extremely vibrant and crisp. The on screen keyboard is cramped. The push email and Outlook Calendar syncing were simple and worked. The Touch Diamond can be used as a modem required the Power Vision Modem plan. The HTC Touch Diamond has many good multimedia features such as music, TV and video.  She doesn't like that there is no space for expansioing. Photo quality was disappointing. The speaker phone quality was not good. Web access was good.

Nick Mediati at PC World found the HTC Touch Diamond appealing, for quick access via the TouchFlo 3D UI.  Mutimedia handing was good with pleasing camera results. The onscreen keyboard was cramped. Call quality was very good."Though I ran into a few annoyances (such as occasional sluggish
performance), my experience overall with the Touch Diamond was positive."

Matthew Miler at ZDNet called the Sprint version of the HTC Touch Diamond ROM "rocking and performing well. The Sprint version offers some good improvements (larger battery is major) over the previous model.

Katherine Boehret at the Wall Street Journal wrote that the HTC Touch Diamond's
screen is smaller than the iPhone. It lacks multi-touch and found using
the screen keyboard with a stylus "next to impossible."  It " failed to
disguise the frustrating interface of Windows Mobile." She wrote that the
video footage to be adequate.  The web Opera browser is not full
HTML is mainly text.The accelrometer
for flipping views worked in most applications except for the web
browsing. She didn't like the Windows UI.
