New BlackBerry Features for 2009 With BlackBerry "Storm Slider"

TMO News forum leaked  RIM's BlackBerry roadmap for 2008.

blackberrystorm_.jpgThe Javelin tops the list which is an updated BlackBerry Curve with high-res screen (460x320), new UI , new media player, new browser, 3.2 megapixel camera, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD for T-Mobile, Rogers, O2 and others.

Three's  a touchscreen BlackBerry Bold 9900 (codename "Pluto") with a standard Bold QWERTY keyboard which will maintain the current form factor. There will be a possible announcement at WES 2009. for AT&T Rodgers and others to sell for $199 -$299.

It also suggests  a slider BlackBerry Storm with a slide-out keyboard, possibly 3G and Wi-Fi for Europe. They label it "unconfirmed."

There are HSPA and EV-DO versions of the 8900 (referred to as the 9220 and 8930, respectively), a 3G Kickstart, as well as an EV-DO/HSPA BlackBerry Bold with high res screen, new firmware, browsers/media player, GPS, 1G on-board, microSD and 3.2 megapixel camera.

There are refreshing the line of BlackBerry Pearls with the new UI for emerging markets. The EV-DO products are due for a release in the first half of 2009, while more heavily featured BalckBerry devices will be released at the end of 2009.
