Several web sources report that Acer will launch new smartphones at Mobile World Congress
on February 16.
The speculation comes from this description from the plans at Mobile World Congress:
"Now Acer enters the Smart Handheld market with an exciting range of
easy-to-use devices designed to offer phone capability, simple one-hand
usability, and complete connectivity."
Acer acquired smartphone maker E-Ten in March of last year.
E-Ten makes Windows mobile Pocket-PC phones, which leads to speculators to suspect the new smartphones will be Windows Mobile-based. The models they made are named the Glofiish M810 and M750 which support quad-band GSM, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS.
