The AT&T website is showing information for their 3G MicroCell with lots of information but no price ability to order it, yet.
The AT&T MicroCell is made by Cisco and requires a broadband connection to operate. It covers up to 5,000 square feet, allow up to four simultaneous voice or data
connections. While the Verizon Extender covers the same area but allows for fewer connections. Like the Verizon Extender it should be placed near a window. Both units require GPS verification of location.
They say the MicroCell provides "Seamless call hand-over - start calls on your 3G MicroCell and continue uninterrupted even if you leave the building.
Microcelll only works with 3G phones. Owners will have to purchase a "3G MicroCell service plan."

Additional Information:
- Installing your device near a window is strongly recommended to
ensure access to Global Positioning System (GPS). A GPS link is needed
to verify the device location during the initial startup. -
The 3G
MicroCell device is portable. The device may be moved, provided the new
location is within the AT&T authorized service area and properly
registered online.
