Mobility today has found an internal document explaining why the LG Incite smartphone has been reaclled from Best Buy. Mmmn the recall may be the reason why the LG Incite has been out-of-stock for the past few weeks at the AT&T Online store.
The document says:
"All the AT&T LG Incite CT810 units currently in store are being re-launched due to a software issue all LG Incite sales must top immediately.
Handset Issue. Customers who have purchased the LG Incite have had errors when attempting to send a SMS message in some locations. Customers with this issue see a "Your text message cannot be sent" message.
Solution. LG has corrected the setting in the device and has placed blue dots on the saleable product cartons and on the battery compartments."
Stores were advised to pull all boxes without a blue dot. New re-flashed LG incites will be available January 12. If you bought a LG Incite at Best Buy within the last 30 days you return it to Best Buy, otherwise you have to contact AT&T. Mobility Today does not note where the document came from.
We think the LG Incite has been popular because AT&T is selling the LG Incite for $99 after a rebate with a contract. When you add the Wireless and Mobile News' $50 Off on AT&T phones or accessories with a plan
"online coupon-link" that would bring the price of the LG Incite down
to $50 much cheaper than most other full-featured smartphones.
This is the second Windows smartphone we recall that has been recalled the first was the Sony Xperia X1 pulled from Sony Style stores in late November/early December.
