It looks like the most-noted BlackBerry user of the United States of America has been able to keep his BlackBerry.
In a photograph album at Newsweek, a photo taken by Charles Ommanney (wow that name is close to Obama) for Getty Images shows the the caption for photo number 15, "Still connected Obama checks his BlackBerry after the parade."
According to Marc Ambinder at the Altantic, a government agency, "added to a standard Blackberry a super-encryption package.... and Obama
WILL be able to use it ... still for routine and personal messages."
It appears President Obama wase too busy yesterday to update his Twitter page. The last Obama Twitter message was "asking you to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr by volunteering in your area," on Monday.
According to some reports BlackBerry smartphones had the best success record for services in Washington DC during Inauguration Day. We reported earlier that we thought there had to be a secure way for Obama to keep his BlackBerry. No instant-messaging however is allowed.
