As rumors suggest that the Palm Pre may be available on February 15, watching CES videos show some interesting aspects of the Palm Pre. Roger McNamee, the Ron Propiel of technology is more than excited in this video of him showing the Palm Pre to Kara Swisher.
He says the Palm Pre is different form other smartphones that are based on PC operating systems, the Palm Pre WebOS is brand new and it will not run out gas like tho “computer-based” operating systems.
The Palm Pre is the first device that anticipates what you need. It runs faster than any another web device by a mile and you can have as many apps open as you want. He types in Swisher then the software asks, “Would you like me to look in Google maps or Wikipedia?”
“Because Swisher was not his contacts the Palm Pre knew that he must be looking on the web,” he said.
The Palm Pre knows when you are late and will make suggestions for directions. McNamee illustrates these functions more in a previous video we posted.
The Palm Pre is great for women because “it doesn’t insult your intelligence.”
The beautiful thing about the Palm Pre is that applications from other smartphones will port very quickly to the WebOS. The Palm Pre WebOS has more capabilties that aren’t in other smartphones.
