Review Samsung Propel SGH-A767 Review of Reviews

Propel_open_right_blackRed.jpgThe Samsung Propel Rated 4 out 5 by Wireless and Mobile News Review of Reviews

The Samsung Propel is not the flashiest or fullest featured phone, but as we see in the AT&T commercials, it works fine for a mumbling Ozzy Osborne and Pepe Le Pew.  It's a phone designed for texting with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and built-in email/ Instant Messaging options.

Reviewers liked the multimedia features but found the screen poor for video and web viewing. The Samsung Propel can be less expensive to use than a smartphone by only paying for the AT&T Media Net texting plan. The user interface is easy to use. The music player is good, however, the Samsung Propel requires a proprietary jack to listen to music.

The Samsung Propel has excellent call quality and a very good camera. It offers fast 3G web browsing and lots of AT&T music and GPS features. It is small in size but does not have dedicated call buttons, you have use the QWERTY keyboard.

AT&T is offering a special promotion for Valentines' Day for the Samsung Propel making it $49.99 with a contract after rebates, when you add the Wireless and News News'  $50 off on AT&T phones or accessories with a plan coupon-link that makes the Samsung Propel almost free which is an excellent deal for all the functions you get. The Samsung Propel comes in White, Red, Green, and  Blue, like any phone, you have to evaluate what you need the phone for and how you will use it to determine if it is the right phone for you.
Nicole Lee at CNET rated the Samsung Propel 3.5 out of 5. She liked the multimedia offering and 3G connectivity for this lean and mean sqaure-shaped thin slider phone.. She calls it an entry-level texting phone, the keyboard is not that bad.  The toggle key shortcut key moves through the menus easily. It's a full-featured phone with video share calling. She wishes the screen had more colors. The call quality is impressive.  Readers rated the Samsung Propel 4 out 5.

Digital Trends rated the Samsung Propel 8 out of 10 and wrote "nearly every feature in the Propel feels as cutting edge as its ergonomics." The music player and XM radio were fine. They liked the
full text, IM and email options, a surprisingly high quality 1.3 MP
camera, AT&T Navigation with turn-by-turn directions and the speedy 3G HTML web browser. They did not like that it requires a propriety jack for earphones. The screen falls short and is "lousy" for video viewing.
For its features the Samsung Propel is a bargain.

Sascha Seagan at PCMag rated the Samsung Propel 3 out 5. He calls it a recession cell-phone on the cheap concept phone, and a low-rent slider version of the Samsung BlackJack with a volume rocker and microSD slot. Live voice quality was good, but earpiece sound was fuzzy. It only supports e-mail from AOL, EarthLink, Hotmail, NetZero, and
Yahoo. (No Gmail). XM radio sound was choppy. The music player is basic but functional. The camera took good photos. If you are a text only user you can save on monthly charges.

called the Samsung Propel is a great multimedia phone geared towards the
texting
generation and one of the best texting phones AT&T has to offer. The
smaller size makes it easy to handle.  The UI is simple to learn.
