FierceWireless compiled all the numbers for handset sales for a look at the handset market sales, prices and market share for the fourth quarter of 2008. As a former math major and teacher of Excel classes, I felt compelled to port the numbers into an Excel spreadsheet and charted them out.
Nokia was still the top maker and seller of handsets in the fourth quarter of 2008. Samsung swung into second place, followed by LG, Sony Ericsson and Motorola in the fourth quarter of 2008.
