Sony Idou Does 12 Megapixel Photos and Entertainment

The Sony Ericsson Idou is a concept smartphone that was displayed at Mobile World Congress with 3.5 inch display and 12.1 megapixel full Cyber-Shoty camera with Xenon flash. It's the only 12 megapixel camera revealed, yet.  The Sony Idou is a touchscreen phone that he Telegraph (U.K.) called it the "digital-camera killer."sony_1296555c.jpg
The Sony Idou is just the first in the next line of entertainment-based smartphones. It's expected to be part of the Sony' push into Entertainment with the SonyPlayNow service that integrates all kinds of entertainment services including Walkman quality sound.. It's based on the Nokia Symbian S60 operating system. The Sony Idou is camera-centered, the next models may be music or messaging phones, a representatitive told Pocket Lint.

Ernest Doku, a consultant with mobile phone comparison site Omio.com, told the Telegraph "Sony
has produced a slick, feature-rich handset to combat the iPhone's dominance,
and Idou is bound to make waves with its built-in 12-megapixel camera."

Release date is late 2009. Sony currently offers an 8 megapixel phone the Sony W995 Walkman phone.
