No Opera singing by major U.S. carriers this time at CTIA notes the latest notice from Opera:
"Opera is aware of statements in the media that Opera will announce one or more agreements with US operators in early April.
Opera would like to clarify that it has no plans to announce any US
operator agreements to the OSE in early April as mentioned in the media."
The confusing part of this is that they will be showcasing their
latest Mobile browser that includes their Opera Turbo advanced compression
technology, the ideal solution for operators and OEM's that allows them to control
data consumption on their network or device.
Who knows how Forbes got the idea about carriers, but many bloggers are wishing the new turbo-charged Opera came on every phone, no matter what carrier.
Their PR people sent us this notice:
In addition at CTIA we will be showcasing our latest Opera Mini 4.2 browser on today's hottest phones and platforms, including the T-Mobile G1, Sprint Instinct, Blackberry Bold, and Blackberry Storm.
They don't offer a BlackBerry Storm specific version but apparently Opera Mini does work on the Storm.
