Acer has reveal dmore details about the the Acer DX900, which they claim to be he world's first dual?SIM and dual?standby Windows Mobile smartphone supporting both 3G and 2G connections. It is now available in EMEA and most Asian markets.
The DX900 is designed for consumers who need access to two mobile numbers but want to avoid the hassle of carrying two devices. They say it meets the needs of frequent travelers, who can use one SIM card in their home country and another SIM card when travelling abroad.
The dual SIM option gives consumers the freedom to choose a new mobile plan while maintaining a previous phone number or reduce monthly bills by combining different call and data rate plans.
The Acer DX900 i allows users to manage daily business and stay productive with 24x7 access to business email with Outlook Mobile email client, and with the fully featured Windows Mobile® 6.1professional edition (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
The 2.8" VGA LCD touch screen features high resolution and vivid colors, enhancing productivity by making it easy to browse the internet or read documents on the go. The 3.0 megapixel auto focus camera and a VGA front side camera for video calls permit quality multimedia imaging and communications on one device.
Although Acer has not revealed a price it looks like unlocked version of the smartphone sell for between $575-$775.
