AT&T has added a new “Send to Mobile”
feature to att.net, allowing customers to push content from
the Web portal to their AT&T mobile devices.
AT&T’s wireless
customers can register for a free att.net account, which includes
e-mail with unlimited storage. From that account, they can push links
to content like news, weather, sports and entertainment to supported
mobile devices. Customers also can add links to quickly access the
mobile versions of popular sites like Facebook, MySpace, Fandango, ESPN
and more
“Att.net is evolving to become the one place our customers can go to
manage all their AT&T services and access content and applications
for any of their devices,” said Brian Shay, Senior Vice
President-Converged Services, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
“Our goal is to deliver an integrated, easy-to-use experience that will
make the benefits of our three-screens strategy even more evident to
consumers.”
“Three-screens integration is emerging as a transformational force
in communications and entertainment,” said Larry Hettick, Principal
Analyst, Digital Home Services, for Current Analysis. “Consumers are
already beginning to ask for all their digital content whenever they
want it on the device they choose. Service providers who move first to
deliver consumers an integrated three-screen option will have a
definite advantage.”
