T-Mobile Optimistically Looking to Intro Android Netbooks

androidnetbook.jpgCole Brodman, chief technology officer of T-Mobile told Om Malik that T-Mobile USA is looking to introduce Android-based devices from three different companies.

"We are looking to launch multiple Android-based devices in the
second half of this year with three partners,"  said Brodman.

The types of phones offered will include low-end feature phones.  T-Mobile
has sold over a million G1 Android Phones.

During their conversion Malik reports that Brodman hinted that T-Mobile USA is optimistic about the Android OS working on netbook computers.

Brodman has seen Android on netbooks demoed from Hewlett-Packard
and Dell.

This all fits in with yesterday's predictions from Strategy Analytics and IDC which predict 420% to 900% growth of Android shipments.
