BlackBerry Free Apps 2Day: FlyCast 2.0 Beta for BlackBerry Storm, Bold, and Curve 8900

Thumbnail image for FlyCast_Storm_Playing_HipHop.jpgFlyCast has launched a new version FlyCast 2.0 Beta for BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve (now 8900)  and BlackBerry Storm phones. FlyCast is a streaming audio "radio stations" program that we previously named "BlackBerry Storm App of the Day"

FlyCast claims to have more radio stations than any other Internet radio
or satellite platform with 1200 stations. The FlyCast app also works at
slower network data speeds and doesn't require 3G access. It streams popular radio
stations and it will work anywhere. If you are out of town and want to
listen to a major radio station, you should be able to find some of
your favorites from Boston, New York or Los Angeles.

The latest version of streaming audio FlyCast 2.0 for BlackBerry includes Twitter integration, station caching and the ability to view FlyCast in landscape mode on the BlackBerry Storm. You can also record stations on to a microSD and access stored music on your BlackBerry directly from FlyCast. FlyBacks allow you to record while connected to a data or Wi-Fi connection for playback at a later time when you are out range.

Download FlyCast 2.0  for BlackBerry directly from FlyCast.  Before installing the FlyCast 2.0 Beta you must first completely uninstall the previous version.

Please Note:

  • FlyCast 2.0 BlackBerry software does not currently work on BlackBerry Pearl and Flip.
  • Station caching is only free in  beta apps, at least until the final
version ships to App World. Streaming will always be free, and there
will be a small one-time charge for the caching option.
