Apple has revealed their new iPhone, named the iPhone 3GS that will be available June 19. The iPhone 3GS will come in 16GB, 32GB models and will be priced at
$199 and $299 respectively. The new iPhone 3GS will come installed
with iPhone 3.0 software, the previous 3G model available unchanged for $99.
The "S"in the the iPhone 3GS stands for speed. The iPhone 3GS has an improved 3 megapixel autofocus
camera with video and faster Internet connections using HSDPA (up to 7.2Mbps) cmobile networks. The previous version of the iPhone could not transmit data as fast as the BlackBerry Bold.

- Find My Phone - via Mobileme and geotagging this iPhone 3GS service helps you find a lost iPhone. Send the phone a message from online or another phone --it'll play a sound whether or not you left it in silent
mode. The sound help you fin ind it in your house, or if you
left at a restaraunt, for instance, help a waiter find it. And, if the
phone is completely lost, you can send the phone a wipe command remotely
using MobileMe. - Movies - you can buy rent and download movies direclty to the iPhone 3GS from iTunes.
- MMS - many carriers will now support multimedia messaging.
- Tethering as Modem - AT&T and will not support use of the iPhone 3GS as a tethered modem but it will be supported by 22 carriers.
- Safari Browser - Java support, 3x faster, autofill and HTML 5/video support.
- Voice Control - use voice to dail contacts and control iTunes.
- Video Recording - record video at 640x480 resolution at 30 fps with audio.
- Improved Batter Life - the batter last longer.
- Spotlight Search - search contacts, calendar entries, notes, e-mail, and even app.
- Navigation - the iPhone 3Gs has an operational compass, TomTom navigation software will be available.
- Push Notifications - push notifications for IM and other apps.
There was no announcement regarding a cheaper lower-model iPhone, however the price drop for the iPhone 3G could serve that purpose.
