Palm Pre News: New Apps & Charge: NFL Mobile Live, PopCap & FuelTank

The future looks bright for Palm Pre users who want to watch Football games or play games on their Palm Pre. If you out and about away from the Touchstone and/or a USB connection now you can charge the Palm Pre anywhere with FuelTank from Callpod.

NFL Mobile Live will be available by August 1 on the Palm Pre . It will be sent to customers in an over-the-air software update from Palm.

NFL Mobile Live offers subscribers wireless access live radio broadcasts of all regular season games as well as information on their favorite teams, fantasy updates, player profiles, photos and video highlights.

When customers accept the update, NFL Mobile Live will be automatically installed. Once it's installed, type NFL on your keyboard from the main screen or the Launcher. Then just tap the NFL icon to open it. NFL Mobile Live will be pre-loaded on all Palm Pre smartphones bought after August 1.

PopCap games such as ke Bejeweled, Zuma or Peggle will be coming to Palm Pre. PopCap spokesman Garth Chouteau said that they are developing games for the Palm Pre.
