iPhone users who usually play games while they are in the bank will soon be able to give up waiting in line at USAA bank altogether. The next version of USAA Federal Savings Bank iPhone app will allows users to make deposit through their iPhone's camera.
Not only can you check your balances, pay bills and usual online banking feature but you can make a deposit without an ATM machine or teller, just your iPhone. The app tells you how to scan the check. You line the check up with the green bars and take a photo of the check on both sides including the endorsement of the check.
Then you touch a submit button the money is available immediately. You can use the app anywhere you have have access to a cell phone tower. "We're putting a bank in everyone's pocket," says the demonstrator in the video.
So would would Mae West say to that? "Is that an iPhone in your pocket or have you just made a deposit?"
Customers should destroy deposited checks or store them in a safe place. In order to use the deposit feature,
customers must have an USAA insurance product and be
eligible for credit with USAA.
This deposit app will expected to be available sometime this week. West Virgina Federal Credit Union launched a simp;er iPhone deposit app last week.
