Palm Pre Apps 2Day: Yep, There's a Free Yelp App Now

Yelp released a new app for the Palm Pre, today. This app that accesses reviews by reviewers like you about local businesses, restaurants and events integrates with Palm Pre's syncronicity.

The Yelp app for Palm Pre lets you:

•  Use location aware technology to find bars, restaurants, drugstores, etc. nearby.
  
•  Read reviews for a business, browse photos, and map its location.
  
• Text business information to friends or save it for later in your Contacts (these are features only for Palm Pre smartphones.)
  
• It can be used in the US or Canada (or where the Palm Pre device is currently available.)
  
• Yelp on the Palm Pre can save contacts to the address book.

Yelp drew an audience of more than 22 million unique visitors in June 2009. Yelpers have written more than 6 million local reviews of everything from boutiques and mechanics to restaurants and dentists.

PC World named the Yelp iPhone app as one of the Best Free Apps and Services for Your Phone.
