Palm Pre News: Palm Pre on Verizon by Early Next Year, Bell Canada, Yelp and Google Voice

has been in the news a lot this week and we will see more of this super social-networked almost physic smartphone.

During a conference call, Verizon execs revealed that they are
committed to releasing the Palm Pre by early next year. Verizon has to
wait until the end of the year for the Palm Pre exclusive agreement to
with Sprint to expire.
Bell Canada launched the Palm Pre today. Those Canadians who sing up for a 3 year contract and pay CA$200.

A new app has appeared on the Palm Pre, Yelp, with reviews from reviewers like you.

A source at Palm has voiced that Palm wantsn Google Voice and welcome
it to their platform. Tech Crunch reported there would an official
Google Voice app for Palm Presome time in the next month or so. Google
Voice was rejected from the Apple App store and FCC is investing the
matter. Having Google Voice would be selling point over the iPhone.
There are already "Home Brew" apps to connect of Google Voice with a
Palm Pre.

In leaked reports the Palm Eos, the Palm Pre sans the slide- keyboard, but more like a Centro keyboard,  is expected to be shipped to Palm in October.
