When a new operating system mistakenly gets into the hand of Palm Pre owners it gets leaked into forums, distributed and eventually YouTube.
Whoops, someone with a Palm Pre who had to reinstall his webOS accidentally got a peak of the webOS 1.2 which of course he posted to the forum at Pre Central. He found these features:
- Saved payment information in the App Catalog for easy app payment.
- A "select all" feature for "copy and paste."
- Ability to control how data is collected with a way to turn it off.
Other features expected in the Palm Pre webOS 1.2 update include, better zoom in the the web browser, images can be saved from the browser, and enhancements to Universal Search.
Then thePalm Pre webOS 1.2 update somehow leaked onto the Internet and a video of the update showed up on YouTube. The video shows:
- Web browser copy and paste with raphic/pic copy and and paste.
- Auto-zoom for forms/text entry boxes.
- Search emails by "keyword."
- A way in the clock to turn off alarm.
- Tasks can be sorted by date and priority.
- Web browser appears to run faster.
