CTIA-The Wireless Association announced finalists in
the CTIA Fund Fest competition. The apps cover billing, app development, music, shopping and healthcare.
CTIA Fund Fest finalists will deliver five-minute presentations about
their new mobile concepts, and the judges' panel will engage each
finalist in a Q&A. The finalists are:
- Billing Revolution- Billing Revolution has everything you need to begin processing credit card transactions on mobile phones.

Chyngle- Chyngle is a B2B mobile application platform which enables any venue to
create a branded, custom mobile application to enhance the customer
experience during events, increase venue and vendor revenue and
communicate directly to attendees through their own interactive
in-pocket marketing channel. - Mjedi - scans shopping items and then gives notifications of when it on sale.Gaves are also shared on Facebook.
- ParkVu- puts iTunes library on BlackBerry smartphones.

TelCare - TelCare connects patients to their caregivers through the use of
medical devices utilizing "machine to machine" cellular communication.
The company's first product will be announced shortly.
The finalists will pitch their mobile
business plans on the International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment
2009® keynote stage on Friday, October 9. An expert panel of
judges will name one "Champion," and CTIA show attendees will vote via
text message to select the "People's Choice" award winner. International
CTIA WIRELESS IT&E 2009 takes place October 7 - 9 at the San Diego
Convention Center.
CTIA, in partnership with MobiTechFest, invited budding entrepreneurs
and start-ups to submit executive summaries and investor pitches for
innovative mobile products and services that spanned several entry
categories. A review committee comprised of partners from top venture
capitalist firms evaluated the applications and selected the finalists.
CTIA Fund Fest finalists will gain exposure to an audience of wireless
industry influencers and potential investors, partners and customers.
CTIA will offer all finalist companies a complimentary exhibiting and
marketing package for a 2010 CTIA event valued at more than $25,000.
