The demo phone shown during the Verizon Google press conference appears to be the HTC Hero or a very similar device. The phone held in Eric Schmidt's hand, clearly shows the Verizon and HTC logos and fits the description of the HTC Hero.
The HTC Hero (also marketed as T-Mobile G2 Touch in the UK, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands) is the third phone manufactured by the HTC Corporation for the Android platform. It has a 3.5mm audio jack, multi-touch capability and the HTC Sense experience. It has Bluetooth and a 5 megapixel camera. The HTC Hero was announced on June 24, 2009 in London. It is also the first Android device to support Adobe Flash. The HTC Hero is coming to Sprint October 11.
