Many Windows Mobile smartphone owners have been waiting to discover if their smartphones will be updated to Windows Mobile 6.5. It's especially daunting for smartphones such as the HTC Touch Pro2 which only came out a few weeks ago and now has sold-out and is very difficult to find.
If yoy have a Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0 smartphone, you are plum out of luck and not elligible for the update. Depending on the carrier and manufacturer, an update from Windows 6.1 to Windows 6.5 may be available, and released either through your carrier and/or the manufacturer. Not all models of smartphones will be updatable. You should check with your mobile operator to determine update availability.
