Shopping by Mobile Phone Surges in Searches & Payments on Black Friday, Will Grow on Cyber Monday and Beyond

While many of you were shopping for new mobile and smartphones on Black Friday, those who bought high-powered smartphones previously were busy shopping on their mobile phones. There was more mobile phone shopping looking to check prices and buy notes TheFind and PayPal. Mobile online payment via PayPal grew nearly 650%. According to shopping service on Black Friday.

TheFind reported a 120% year over
year surge in search queries on Black Friday.TheFind's mobile searches grew from 5,000 on Black Friday, last year to 200,000 this year.

TheFind found that Amazom topped the searches with 6x more searches than Walmart. Other top sites were Kohls, Macy's and Target.

"People were taking advantage of their mobile phones to compare prices
once they were inside stores," Find CEO, Siva Kumar Kumar told World
Street Journal reporter Karen Talley.

Kumar also said in the company's news release ""With a couple of weeks remaining for shoppers to order items online
and have them arrive before the big day, we anticipate online and
mobile shopping to continue to be significant factors in shaping how
consumers choose to spend this holiday season, and that means that all
retailers will continue to have to fight hard for each sale."
