The web is abuzz with the new Google Phone, named Nexus One t Google employees are tweeting about testing a high-end touchscreen Android phone that is purely Google-labeled and will be sold directly to consumers in January next year.
This completely Google branded phone is made by HTC. The Nexus One will be an unlocked GSM phone available directly to the public and run Android 2.1 with exclusive featrues.
This Google phone is a super-fast phone running the Snapdragon chipset and has a goregeous OLED display. It is thinner than the iPhone, has two mics and a large camera. The voice-to-text features compensate for the absence of a QWERTY keyboard. There have been reports that is a GSM phone that work with AT&T or T-Mobile networks in the United States. No pricing has been set yet. Unlocked developer versions of phones that are have less features cost around $400.
Google employees testing the Nexus One, couldn't help but tweet about their 'dogfooding" (testing) of the Nexus One Google Phone. Cory O'Brien Twittered "Google Phone = iPhone + a little extra screen and a scroll wheel. Great touch screen, and Android"." He TwitPiced the photo seen above. Hopefully, Google Vice President Marissa Mayer has gotten the new Nexus One by now. Mayer has been recently seen in Paris showing her Apple iPhone.
