Norad, has placed Santa cams all over the world to track St. Nick's trek for Christmas. As we write this, Santa's already made progress in the Pacific.
Norad is supplying a map online and will send "Santa" to your cell phone. The great travelers trip is available on the web and via a mobile website. Information is available in six languages.
Norad does not reveal how Santa Claus is being track, or what kind of GPS they are using. It could be on his cell phone or even iPhone. It may not be a good idea for Santa to reveal his cell phone model because the carriers may use that personal information for their own rewards. It could be world smartphone, or he may have to carry several models because he needs to be connected to carrier networks all over the world.
They claim "Based on historical data and more than 50 years of NORAD tracking
information, we believe that Santa Claus is alive and well in the
hearts of children throughout the world."
Santa Cams are ultra-cool, high-tech, high-speed digital cameras
pre-positioned at many locations around the world only on Christmas
Eve. The cameras capture images and videos of Santa and his reindeer as
they make their journey around the world.
Users can view the trip via Google Earth.
NORAD is the
bi-national U.S.-Canadian military organization responsible for the
aerospace and maritime defense of the United States and Canada.
