Microsoft and Verizon Think Pink with Turtle and Pure

340x_networkso.jpgThere have been reports that Verizon and Microsoft are working on a "Pink" series of "Zune-Like" phones for teens and twenty-somethings with a text messaging social-networking focus, the Turtle and Pure.

Marketing material shows the phones as "Making your network more social."

Gizomodo called one phone the Turtle, a vertical slider, " a messaging phone, basically--one part Pre, and two parts Sidekick."

The second phone called the Pure is a slider phone. Sharp is the maker of the phones, the Sharp PB10ZU and the PB20ZU

Microsoft is expected to make an announcement at CTIA at the end of
March with a release date in early April for this youngster phones. It
has been suggested that the phones will not be Windows Phones but
another OS alltogether.

Verizon recently dropped the price of the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi.
