April Fools Android an' Droid Apps 2Day: Translate for Animals (Topeka Version)

GoogleAnimalApp.JPGIn the Goggle Android LOL department, Google claims to (giggle) have launched the Android app "Translate for Animals along with naming the Google homepage Topeka.

The website notes

"Translate for Animals is an application for Android phones
that recognizes and transcribes words and phrases that are common to a
species, like cats for example. To develop Translate for Animals, we
worked closely with many of the world's top language synthesis teams,
and with leaders in the field of animal cognitive linguistics, including
senior fellows at the Bodleian Library in Oxford."

In an online demo a Bella pig is translated to say "The person smells
good."  Now that is so bogus, we know for a fact that the pig said,
"The Google Translate for Animals is an April Fool joke, but they are
paying me in good food, so I agreed to do this video. Twitter me
anytime."

Donna the donkey, supposedly said, "Love you." when she was really
saying "Give me a free Nexus One, please."

They clearly mark the following To remove Translate for Animals, go
to Settings > Applications >
Manage Applications > Animal Translate and select "Uninstall".
