Gearlog's Sascha Segan spoke with at AT&T's Mark Siegel who confirmed "unlimited is unlimited," there will be no soft caps or warnings for iPad users who pay for the AT&T $29.99 unlimited data plan.
Siegel noted that he
expects iPad users to spend a lot of time in Wi-Fi hotspots (AT&T's own hotspots are free.) He told Seagan that the crazy
outliers who stream data all the time won't be penalized.
Previously streaming videos from
Sling players have put other data users in major debt for not reading
the fine print for data plans that max out after so many megabytes.
Bills have been as high
as $28000 and have generated
lawsuits.
Today there have been a lot of iPad news stories,
the
iPad topped Android for Boingo Wi-Fi use, there have been over
524,000 sold, cost $260
to make, music
iPad apps are really popular, Wi-Fi issues have
been reported.
SugarSync
now works with the iPad and whole bunch of popular aps blasted the app
store in time for the iPad
launch.
