Android FroYo 2.2 has lots of great features that speed things up, possible music streaming and camera improvements. If you already own an Android smartphone will the update to Android 2.2 FroYo work on your smartphone?
Google announced on its Twitter feed that the Nexus One will get the Android 2.2 update.
HTC says that if your phone was released in 2010, you have a good
chance of getting Froyo. definitely for such smartphones as the HTC Desire, Droid Incredible, HTC EVO 4G and myTouch 3G Slide.
An HTC email noted, "We will announce a full list of phones and dates
once we are closer to
launching the upgrades. We are working closely with Google and our other
partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to
provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to
release all updates in the second half of this year but can't be more
specific yet."
Adding the HTC Sense user interface onto updates
usually takes a little longer, as we have seen with other HTC updates
such as the one for the Droid
