Coming to Android from Acer is the Acer Stream, Acer claims the Acer Stream is optimized for watching movies, listening to music and enjoying web browsing like at home. To sweeten the deal will come with free music streaming service Spinlets.
The Acer Stream runs Android 2.1 on 1 GHz Snapdragon processor. Feature include 512 MB of RAM, 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, HDMI-out and support for HSDPA 7.2, 5MP camera, GPS, and 2GB of internal storage that supports up to 32 GB on microSD. These specs are very similar to the Nexus One and Droid Incredible.
Acer has redesigned the user interface for animations and graphics. They added an information packed lock screen widget: tappable status bar with notifications. history panel for navigating apps, app-mover/installer and a customization page.
The Acer Stream has three types of predictive keyboards, a smart dialer and a redesigned contacts list.
All the most popular social networking appls are pre-installed: Nemo
player to enjoy multimedia content to the fullest, Acer UrFooz to create
your virtual "look-alike", add your profile and bookmarks and post it
to your social networks, Facebook™ and Twidroid perfectly integrated
into the address book.
And for music addicts Acer Stream features Spinlets, a free streaming
service that lets you browse and listen to major music labels and
record companies for great music and instantly post what you find to
your favorite Social Networking sites.
