Michael Dell revealed that the Dell Mini 5 Streak Andorid tablet (mobile Internet devicie /MIC) will be coming to AT&T this summer at the Citrix Synergy Conference.
The Dell Mini 5 also known as the Dell Streak has a 5-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, separate front-facing camera 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity
and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1-GHz processor.
The Dell Mini 5 Streak will run the latest version of Google's Android operating system,
version 2.0 or higher. But instead of just being a data-only device Dell hopes
to offer a SIM card option so users can make phone calls through it. He didn't comment about the price of the Dell Mini 5.
The Dell Mini 5 Streak screen has WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution and support for multi-touch. The Dell Mini 5 is bundled with a suite of
entertainment, communications and productivity software, as well as an
Adobe Flash player. The Delll Mini 5 Streak can access desktop items with Citrix Systems virtual desktop.
"This will be
available starting next month, first with our
partner 02 Telefonica in Europe, then later this summer
with our pretty good partner here in the United
States, AT&T," Dell said.
