Verizon and Microsoft's new smartphone-like feature phones kids on the block, their KIN phones will debut online tomorrow the Kin One for $49.99, and the higher-powered Kin Two for $99.9.
Geared for socially-networked young people, KIN blends the phone, online services and the PC. Both KIN phones feature a touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard in different form factors. Both Kins have a microsoft Zune player built-in along with KIN Loop, KIN Spot, KIN Studio and KIN Camera with photo-editing and sharing features. KINs have a full web browser and the operating system is based on the new Windows Phone OS with a FM radio and email access to Web-based mail, POP/IMAP services, as well as Exchange for business e-mail and contact sync.
KIN Spot lets user share texts, web pages - with almost anyone. Drop
stuff into the Spot and send by text, e-mail or social network update.
KIN LOOP combines latest updates/feeds from favorite websites and
social networks such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
KIN Studio, back-ups messages, contacts, photos and videos are to a
private cloud service.
The KIN ONE has a 5 MP lens while the KIN TWO has an 8 MP lens and
shoots video in HD they both have anti-shake, autofocus and an LED
flash,
To get the most from KIN, Verizon Wireless customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and an Email and Web for Smartphone plan. Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 monthly access. Email and Web for Smartphone plans start at $29.99 for unlimited monthly
access.
KIN ONE is available for $49.99, and KIN TWO is available for $99.99,
both after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement at Verizon online.
Customers will receive the rebate in the form of a debit card; upon
receipt, customers may use the card as cash anywhere debit cards are
