Desire . The HTC Desire is one of several new Android-based
smartphones
the carrier plans to launch this year,in the summer.
The HTC Desire has a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processortAndroid
2.1
platform and access to more than 70,000 applications on Android
Market and the Desire features the latest HTC Sense UI.
The AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with pinch-to-zoom is 3.7 inches with a 480 X 800 WVGA resolution. The Desire has a 5 MP camera, GPS, digital compass, unified social networking, and FM radio.
The new People widget lets you bring any
group you create on your phone right to the surface for easy access to
calling, messaging, emailing or simply checking up on social networking
updates.
Special features of the HTC Desire include:
- Automatically lowers the ringer volume as soon as the phone is
picked up. - Mutes the ringer when the phone is flipped face down.
- Backs up certain data and settings to the microSD card
automatically, such as SMS/MMS messages, bookmarks, Wi-Fi passwords, and
more.
Desire,
will feature built-in Google mobile services, including Google
Search™,
Google Maps™, Gmail™, YouTube™ and Google Maps Navigation™ BETA
with
voice-aided, turn-by-turn directions. More details will be

soon on other features of the popular smartphone.
