HTC will be updating the HTC EVO 4G to Android 2.2, FroYo, according to their Twitter feed.
"HTC EVO 4G will be updated to Android 2.2; Samsung
Moment & HTC Hero will not. Future devices launching w/ 2.1 will be
also be updated to 2.2."
The the well-reviewed
continually sold-old HTC EVO 4G has experienced some light leaking problems with the touchscreen.

Android 2.2 FroYo is faster than previous versions of Android (faster than iPad too) and has close to twenty improvements that include supporting Adobe Flash 10.1, MS Exchange support, and a uniifed inbox. FroYo Android 2.2 offers multiple e-mail account support, camera improvements, a better browser, and a re-designed calendar. A major improvement is the ability to store apps on the microSD card, allowing for more space for apps.
USB tethering in FroYo Android 2.2 allows for use as a modem and mobile hostpot sharing. There is now an app launcher bar, instead of the pop-out app launcher tray.
Other Android phones that will get an update include the myTouch 3G, myTouch Slide and Droid by Motorola that are supposed to get an update soon. Android 2.2 FroYo "soon."
