Apple has released an update to iTunes named 9.2. Other phone makers have tried to trick iTunes for native syncing with no avail. The Palm Pre OS webOS worked for a while then Apple changed the ability in an update. Most Android phone require a third party app for iTunes syncing or hand copying of files.
The iTunes 9.2 update that will allow sync with iPhone 4 for music, movies, TV
shows, books and more on-the-go. It will also allow sync and reading books with iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4 and
iBooks 1.1.
Added features include the ability to organize and sync PDF documents as
books and ability to read PDFs with iBooks
1.1 on iPad and any iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4. Album artwork
improvements make artwork appear more quickly when
exploring your library
It then enhances the iOS 4 so that you
can organize your apps on your iOS 4 home screens into folders using
iTunes. There is also faster back-ups while syncing an iPhone or iPod
touch with iOS 4.
It also added security updates.
