BlackBerry Review of News: New BlackBerry (9800?)Slider, Slides to AT&T August 3

BlackBerrySlider9800.JPGMembers of the press and blogosphere have been invited to a RIM and AT&T event next week on August 3.

The event hints a new BlackBerry smartphone which leads invitees and the likes to speculate that the BlackBerry will be the BlackBerry 9800 slider with BlackBerry OS 6, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP camera with and 4GB of internal memory
(expandable via a MicroSD card slot.)

Update 08/08/20
- Reviewers of the BlackBerry Torch liked most of the new features but would like to have seen more screen and power.

BlackBerry OS 6, will have multitouch controls, social networking, webKit browser and better media.

It has been suggested that the BlackBerry 9800 slider will be hybrid touchscreen/keyboard phone with both touchscreen and QWERTY input.

The weird thing about our review of news on this topic we actually found an online retailer taking orders for the A&T BlackBerry 9800 with the following specs,
A2DP, Bluetooth, Calendar, Candy Bar Form, Edge, Email Client, GPS /
Location, High-Speed Data GPRS, Megapixel Camera, Memory Card Slot, MP3,
Qwerty Keyboard, Slide Form, Smartphone, Speaker Phone, Touch Screen,
Video Capture, Video Clip, Voice Dialing, Wi-Fi. They do note that the BlackBerry 9800 has not been released or announced yet.

ATT-RIM-BlackBerry-9800-slider.jpgWe also noticed that leaked photos suggest that the BlackBery Slider 9800 will come in white, black and red.

The BlackBerry Slider 9800 has also been referred to as the BlackBerry Torch and BlackBerry Oasis.  It has also been suggested that the BlackBerry 9800 will launch on the AT&T network on August 15.
