Following their announced displeasure with the San Francisco law
requiring radiation ratings on cell phones and smartphones in San
Francisco, CTIA is moving their fall convention to San Diego.
CTIA-The Wireless Association announced the CTIA Enterprise
& Applications trade show will return to the San Diego Convention Center October 11-13, 2011 and October
10-12, 2012.
Of course, being in SoCal, we like the change. San Diego is so beautiful and only a few hours away. The average daily temperature is much warmer. The San Diego Convention is right on the water front with spectacular views of the bay.
We also love Ryan Brothers Coffee and Tea, only available in San Diego and at the Qualcomm booth. The Ryan Brothers have been
the baristas of choice for Qualcomm and Tom Ryan made a special iced blend for
Wireless and Mobile News. At Uplinq the brothers brewed a marvelous
"Summer Bliss" tea consisting of roobios, blueberry and hibiscus. They
are kind of like Irish bartenders, chatting about the show and keeping
the whole crowd cafienated and buzzed.
Their motto, "Life's too short to be bitter."
CTIA Enterprise & Applications demonstrates the benefits of wireless
technology across vertical segments, including enterprise and cloud
computing, media, content, health, energy, retail and transportation.
The show attracts more than 15,000 enterprise users, application
developers, service providers, content owners, device manufacturers,
retailers and engineers.
