Sales of the Droid Incredible at Verizon have been so incredible that the well-reviewed super smartphones will not be shipping until August 5 while the Droid X by Motorola is coming out on July 15. It has been reported that customers can change their order at no cost to the Motorola Droid X.
Verizon spokeswoman, Brenda Raney, told us that if you want change your order, call customer service and tell them you want to cancel your Droid Incredible order for a Droid X. On July 15, you will have to order either in a store or online. a Droid X. It has also been reported that those waiting for a Droid
Incredible order are receiving $25 gift cards. Raney said that the gift cards were only sent to customers whose orders were not send on the promised ship date. Verizon is still doing all they can to keep up of the incredible Droid Incredible orders.

When you wrote the Droid X has a keyboard and the Incredible doesn't, did you mean a Swype keyboard? Neither phones have a physical keyboard.

i am a vz customer who ordered an incredible and ended up switching.
the whole process was a pain in the a$$ with everyone telling me different things. basically i canceled my incredible before it shipped and i have to go to the store july 15th for the x.
however my incredible mysteriously showed up at my door so i had to not except the package... still waiting for july 15th. i just hope they dont sell out so soon
