The Wall Street Journal reported that the HTC EVO 4G shortage is due to the touchscreen shortages and that HTC is trying to devise ways to get both the HTC EVO 4G and Droid Incredible faster.
"We thought we would have more of a head start than we'll end up
having," Sprint CEO, Dan Hesse told The Wall Street Journal last week. So far, Sprint has sold 300,000 of the HTC Evo 4G phones, according to
Macquarie Group. However just like HTC couldn't keep up with the demand for the well-reviewed Droid Incredible, they can't keep up with the demand for the also well-reviewed HTC EVO 4G.
The Droid Incredible and HTC EVO 4G have AMOLED touchscreens made by Samsung and the present factory is at full capacity. Samsung Electronics is building a new factory, which won't upon until 2012.
HTC is trying to find new suppliers and inked a deal with Sony. In the meantime they are trying to find space on airlines to get the EVO 4G and Incredible to Verizon and Sprint as soon as fast as possible.
WSJ notes that some will opt instead for the soon to be released well-reviewed Droid X. When you compare the Droid X vs the Droid Incredible, the X has a larger screen than the Droid Incredible, andt has TFT screen, not an incredible AMOLED(which are in short supply.)
The Droid Incredible, HTC Aria and HTC EVO 4G have the newest version of HTC Sense UI, for tips and trick of these phone check the top best tip suggestions from HTC and new user tips.
