iPhone Web Shows Death Grip on Droid X - Droid X Antenna Backed by Hand Loses Bars

DroidX Attenuation test.JPGThe iPhone 4 isn't the only smartphone getting antenna attenuation attention. Along with the Droid Eris, the Apple forces are showing attenuation on the Motorola Droid X.

An Apple photo points out that the antenna of the Droid X is on the back of the Droid. They show a video with a hand over the back antenna, showing a bar decrease from three bars to no bars after holding the Droid X tightly for 22 seconds.

Of course they do not state if where they are in relation to nearest Verizon cell tower. The video on YouTube which follows has been viewed over 330,000 times.

The well-reviewed Droid X backed by the Verizon Wireless network is considered to be one the best competitors of the iPhone 4. Droid Xers use five times more data than other Verizon customers.

One blogger suggested that the best way to avoid all attenuation issues with smartphones is to hold your phone like the English hold their teacups. We're wondering if sticking  pinkies will act like an antennas.
