The best app winners of the GetJar "Gettie Awards" were announced last night in San Franciso. All of the mobile software applications winners are very useful. And the winners are:

Best Blackberry app: Kayak Flight/Hotel Search  (Free)-

Best Overall Cross Platform App (Gettie Award): Layar

Of the apps submitted to the 2010 Getties, iPhone accounted for 26

percent of nominations, Android 20 percent, Java 18 percent,
Symbian 15
percent, Blackberry 13 percent, and Windows Mobile, 9 percent.
