Google has added more voice to text and voice command features to Android 2.2 called Voice Actions that work with Google Maps. In order to use the new features you have to download “Voice Search” app from Android market. The app only works in Android 2.2.
Using a key phrases listed below, you fill in the name or word in the option area . The app also allows for adding more text to an email or note by pressing the microphone and saying the text.

VOICE ACTIONS for Android Command Phrases:
- Send text message - Say “send text to [recipient] [message] for example “send text to Jack Miller. I’m stuck at work. I will be home around 9.”
- Listen to music - Say “listen to [artist/song/album].”
- Call Business - Say “call [business name] [location].”
- Call contacts - Say “call [contact name] [phone type- mobile, home, business].”
- Send email - Say “send email to [recipient] [subject] [body].”
- Go to website - Say “go to [website].”
- Write a note - Say “note to self [message].”
- Directions / navigate - Say “navigate to [address/city/business name].”
- Map of location - Say “map of [address/city].”
