Today, two new smartphones go on sale the BlackBery Torch 9800 at AT&T and the the Droid 2 from Verizon. Reviews of the BlackBery Torch 9800 ranged from great-BlackBerry-wow to too-late-now. Reviews of the Droid 2 are just coming in.

The BlackBerry Torch is a portrait slider smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Reviewers o the BlackBerry Torch liked the keyboard, new BlackBerry OS features, the touchscreen, messaging, social networking and new media features. The Droid 2 is the second generation of the Droid by Motorola and the first Droid to ship with the super fast full-featured Android 2.2. We are currently compiling first impressions, hands-on unboxings and early reviews which have been very favorable.

any smartphone, including DROID 2, without penalty." It looks like the Droid 2 has not sold-out yet like previously Droid smartphones. We called our local store and were told that the Droid 2 was in stock.
