Cricket Launches New Plans/Services with Tiered/Capped Mobile Broadband

Cricket has changed its plans with new plans for smarpthones, and for mobile data users.

Cricket’s new service plans start at $35 and offer unlimited nationwide
talk and text. Other plans at $45, $55 and $60 offer additional options
and features, including unlimited picture and video messaging and
international text to more than 100 countries worldwide.

browsing at 3G speeds. p
The new plans now include taxes and telecom fees, and and the $15 activation fee
is gone. They ended the promotional offering of a free first month of service.

Cricket claims to be the the first carrier in the U.S. to introduce unlimited, all-inclusive prepaid broadband service plans, with access Cricket’s 3G network with download speeds up to 1.4 Mbps.

The differences appear for mobile broadband. 2.5 GB of data is $40 per month, 5 GB fis 50 per month or 7.5 GB for $60 per month. Previously, Leap offered 5 GB for $40 per month. ILeap doesn’t charge overage fees for data; if a user goes over allotted data for the month the user’s connection speed is slowed down from its maximum of 1.4 Mbps.
